A proud moment for India as Tej Contractor is elected Vice President of FIATA, marking a historic return of the position to FFFAI after 17 years.

In a moment of immense pride for India’s logistics and freight forwarding fraternity, Tej Contractor, President of the Indian Institute of Freight Forwarders (IIFF), the training arm of the Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Associations in India (FFFAI), has been elected as Vice President of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) for the 2025–2027 term. The announcement came during the FIATA General Meeting held in Vietnam.
This achievement holds special significance as the vice president position returns to FFFAI’s fold after 17 years, last held by his late father, Mayur C. Contractor, who served as senior vice president in 2007.
Tej Contractor’s election underscores his visionary leadership and deep commitment to professional education and capacity building in the logistics sector. Through IIFF, he has championed skill development, international collaboration, and knowledge sharing within the freight forwarding community.
FFFAI leadership, including Chairman Amit Kamat, Immediate Past Chairman Dushyant Mulani, and Chairman Elect S. Nataraja, along with office bearers and the Executive Committee, extended their heartfelt congratulations. They expressed confidence that Contractor’s presence on the FIATA Board will amplify India’s voice on the global logistics stage and contribute to advancing the international freight forwarding ecosystem.
A truly proud milestone for India and a shining moment for the freight forwarding fraternity.
