WFS expands CIND’s ContourCheck to major European hubs in 2026, boosting efficiency, safety, and cargo visibility.

In a major leap toward digitalising cargo handling, Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), a SATS company, has announced the rollout of CIND’s advanced ContourCheck system at its largest air cargo handling stations in Europe. The technology will go live at Amsterdam Schiphol, London Heathrow, and Paris Charles de Gaulle airports in early 2026, marking the next phase of WFS’ global digital transformation.
The move is part of WFS’ wider strategy to integrate automation and data-driven solutions across its extensive network of 225 stations in 27 countries, which collectively handle more than 50% of global air cargo volume.
WFS became the first cargo handler to deploy CIND’s 3D ULD modelling software in 2024. Since then, the technology has been in daily use at its hubs in Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Madrid, and Toulouse, delivering faster, more accurate, and safer ULD handling.
The ContourCheck system allows ULDs to be digitally scanned and verified, ensuring each unit is 100% fit to fly. Airlines receive a comprehensive digital report with images, providing real-time transparency and proof of compliance. Since implementation, none of the ULDs built using this system have been offloaded due to contour issues.
“CIND’s ContourCheck solution is an important step in our journey towards automation and digitalisation,” said Jimi Daniel Hansen, Senior Vice President of Operational Excellence at WFS. “It provides valuable data, optimises cargo space, and builds airline trust by ensuring contour accuracy. Our close collaboration with CIND has been key to adapting the system to our operational needs.”
Hansen added that the partnership exemplifies how focused technology can address real-world logistics challenges. By replacing a manual, data-poor process with a digital, real-time system, WFS is setting a new benchmark for efficiency, transparency, and safety in the air cargo industry.
With this European expansion, WFS is accelerating the global rollout of ContourCheck, reinforcing its commitment to next-generation logistics solutions and operational excellence.
