At CargoNXT, experts discussed ports, tech, and green logistics as key to redefining India’s global trade position.

The 4th Edition of the CargoNXT Logistics & SCM Summit hosted a high-powered session titled “Global Trade Manthan: Redefining India’s Logistics Advantage in Global Trade.”
Moderated by Dhiraj Asthana, President – Commercial, Atul Ltd, the panel brought together industry leaders including Anil K Mishra (Pladis Global), Sumit Chakraborty (Adani Ports and SEZ), Manish Soin (Siemens Healthineers), Dr. Mahendra Birhade (DP World), and Megha Bansal (ONDC).
Discussions focused on how India can sharpen its global trade advantage by improving port and airport turnaround times, adopting single-window digital customs, and enhancing first-mile-to-port connectivity through robust corridors. Panelists also emphasized the role of autonomous shipping, AI-driven solutions, and smart port development in making maritime logistics future-ready.


The dialogue highlighted the importance of lowering logistics costs as a share of GDP, using trade data analytics for better planning, and building green logistics capabilities. With integrated multimodal networks under national policies, speakers stressed that India can position itself as a sustainable, agile, and globally trusted trade hub.
