IKEA names Patrik Antoni as India CEO, aiming to expand its retail footprint with renewed leadership.

IKEA India has appointed Patrik Antoni as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective August 2025, marking a significant move in its leadership strategy. With over 20 years of experience at IKEA, Antoni brings a deep understanding of the brand’s global operations and a strong connection to the Indian market.
Previously serving as Deputy CEO for IKEA India and later as General Manager of IKEA Russia, Antoni played a key role in launching IKEA’s first store in Hyderabad. In his new role, he will lead retail operations and drive strategic integration across Ingka companies in India.
This leadership change comes as IKEA accelerates its expansion plans in India, tapping into the country’s fast-growing economy. Antoni’s appointment also aligns with IKEA’s One India strategy, aiming to unify retail and sustainability efforts.
Meanwhile, Susanne Pulverer, the current Country Retail Manager and CSO, has stepped down after 28 years with IKEA, including over eight years in India. Her successor is yet to be announced.
