Emirates brings its express delivery service to Australia, ensuring faster, direct-to-door courier access across the country.

Emirates SkyCargo is stepping up its logistics game by expanding its newly launched Emirates Courier Express service to Australia, marking a major milestone in its global delivery ambitions. Starting this week, the express delivery solution will now serve Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney through 70 direct weekly flights, offering last-mile delivery coverage across the country.
Initially launched in April, Emirates Courier Express began operations in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, South Africa, and the UK, offering a faster alternative to traditional global shipping routes. The expansion into Australia, a market that Emirates identifies as both logistically complex and historically underserved, reflects the growing demand for efficient cross-border e-commerce solutions in the region.
Unlike the standard hub-and-spoke model, where shipments pass through multiple checkpoints and sorting centres, Emirates Courier Express adopts a point-to-point model, ensuring parcels move directly from origin to destination using Emirates’ global network and high-frequency flight schedules. This approach significantly reduces transit time and handling, ensuring faster delivery with fewer touchpoints.
Dennis Lister, Senior Vice President of Product and Innovation at Emirates SkyCargo, stated, “From the early test phase, we recognised Australia as a key market. Businesses and consumers will feel the difference in speed and reliability with our flexible, scalable solution.”
The move comes at a critical time for Australian e-commerce. While only 6% of international shippers currently source from Australia, a statistic cited by the International Trade Administration, inbound small parcel volumes to the country have surged by 45% over the past two years. Emirates aims to bridge this gap by providing businesses and consumers with a more predictable, cost-effective alternative to traditional logistics.
Adding to its appeal, Emirates Courier Express offers full integration with customers’ existing software, along with advanced tracking features and real-time updates, giving both senders and recipients complete visibility over the package’s journey.
With its eyes firmly set on capturing more of the e-commerce logistics space, Emirates’ latest expansion highlights its strategic commitment to modern, time-sensitive delivery solutions, bringing global markets closer to Australia, one direct flight at a time.
