ICD Bihta to transform Bihar’s trade, attract investments, and boost ease of doing business.

Pristine Logistics & Infraprojects, backed by Global Infrastructure Partners India, has officially launched an Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Bihta, approximately 40 km from Patna. This marks Bihar’s first and only dry port, ushering in a transformative chapter for the state’s economy and industrial landscape.
Strategically rail-linked, ICD Bihta is designed to unlock new opportunities for Bihar’s importers and exporters by offering one-stop, single-window logistics solutions—bringing modern containerised services right to the doorstep of businesses.
This milestone project is part of Pristine’s robust network of rail-linked terminals across India and Nepal, including ICDs in Birgunj (Nepal), Burkunda (Jharkhand), Ludhiana (Punjab), Siliguri (West Bengal), New Rewari (Haryana), Aligarh, Kanpur, Bhaupur (Uttar Pradesh), and Chennai (Tamil Nadu).
Pristine holds a Category 1 concession from Indian Railways to operate container trains pan-India.
The commissioning of ICD Bihta is set to:
- Accelerate Bihar’s manufacturing sector
- Encourage trade, investment, imports, and exports
- Improve ease of doing business
- Create a sustainable logistics ecosystem
According to the company, this development represents a major leap in Bihar’s global trade aspirations, reinforcing its position on India’s logistics map.
