Swiggy signs MoU with Labour Ministry to list gig jobs on NCS portal, targeting 12 lakh opportunities in 2–3 years.

In a major move to boost gig economy employment, the Ministry of Labour and Employment signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Swiggy on Tuesday to integrate gig and logistics job listings on the National Career Service (NCS) portal. The initiative aims to create over 12 lakh job opportunities across India within the next two to three years.
The NCS portal, which already connects more than 1.25 crore active job seekers with 40 lakh employers, will now extend its outreach to the growing gig sector through this collaboration. Swiggy will regularly post real-time, verified job opportunities in delivery, logistics, and support roles across urban and semi-urban regions.
This partnership is designed to bridge the gap between job-ready talent and platform-based employment, enabling young Indians to access flexible, location-specific work. The portal will offer increased visibility of Swiggy’s offerings to a wider audience, supporting both workforce mobilisation and the digital transformation of employment services.
The collaboration marks a step forward in institutionalising gig work through government-supported platforms, empowering job seekers with structured and accessible opportunities.
