MSME TEAM Initiative to empower small businesses, focusing on women entrepreneurs.
The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has introduced a new sub-scheme under the RAMP program — the MSME Trade Enablement and Marketing (TEAM) Initiative — launched on June 27, 2024. With a financial outlay of ₹27.35 crore, the scheme aims to promote e-commerce adoption among Micro and Small Enterprises, with special attention to women entrepreneurs, by leveraging Digital Public Infrastructure through ONDC.
The National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) has been appointed as the implementing agency, organising workshops with support from the Ministry, State Governments, industry bodies, and ONDC to raise awareness and facilitate MSMEs’ onboarding onto ONDC-compliant Seller Network Participants (SNPs).
The initiative is expected to open new digital market opportunities for SMEs, enhancing their reach and competitiveness. The announcement was made by Minister of State for MSMEs, Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, in the Rajya Sabha today.
