Air India partners with IBS Software for digital transformation of air cargo management.
Air India has entered a significant partnership with IBS Software to digitise and enhance its air cargo operations. By adopting the iCargo platform, Air India aims to integrate and streamline various cargo management processes, from sales to billing, into a single cohesive system. This move is part of a broader digital transformation initiative across Air India’s passenger services, fleet, and cargo operations.
Nipun Aggarwal, Air India’s Chief Commercial and Transformation Officer, emphasised the airline’s commitment to becoming a global aviation leader and highlighted air cargo as a key growth driver. Somit Goyal, CEO of IBS Software, expressed pride in collaborating with Air India, noting the rapid expansion of the Indian aviation market and the transformative potential of the iCargo platform.
The initial implementation of iCargo is expected within nine months, with further enhancements to follow, aligning with India’s goal to handle ten million tonnes of air cargo annually by 2030.
