ACFI launches its Goa Chapter under Thakur Purushottam, aiming to enhance air cargo operations and promote industry collaboration in the region
Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI) has inaugurated its Goa Chapter led by Thakur Purushottam, Business Head of GMR Goa Cargo, at an event hosted by the Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI) on 21st June 2024. The launch ceremony was graced by Mrs. Swetika Sachan IAS, Secretary Industries, Govt. of Goa, along with esteemed industry leaders and dignitaries.
Ahmad Raza Khan, Partner at Samuel Dias & Co., was appointed as the Vice Chairman of the ACFI Goa Chapter. The event also welcomed Abhishek Pravimal, IAS, MD of GIDC, Dr. Pravin Khullar, President of GPMA, Maguaris Pai Raikar, Chairman of Goa State Council of ASSOCHAM, and Amit Kamat, Vice Chairman of FFFAI and President of Goa Customs Brokers Association.
Notable figures from ACFI included Yashpal Sharma, President and MD of Skyways Group, Sanjiv Edward, Vice President of ACFI and CEO of Cargo & Logistics at GMR Group, and other key members of the ACFI Governing Board and industry stakeholders.
The Goa Chapter aims to enhance air cargo operations in the region under Thakur Purushottam’s leadership, leveraging his two decades of expertise in Cargo Handling, Operations, Business Development, and Project Management. The chapter plans to advocate for regulatory reforms, organize skill development workshops, and foster collaboration with industry bodies to elevate air cargo logistics in Goa and nationwide.
Thakur Purushottam expressed his commitment to collaboration within ACFI and with industry verticals to implement regional initiatives effectively. He emphasized the Goa Chapter’s role in strengthening supply chain management and distribution networks to drive trade and economic growth.
ACFI President, Yashpal Sharma, affirmed ACFI’s dedication to establishing India as a global leader in air cargo logistics. He highlighted the significance of Goa Chapter’s establishment in advancing the nation’s air cargo infrastructure and supporting economic development.
