Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services enhances its network by introducing two additional freighter destinations in India, reinforcing its commitment to efficient air cargo services.
Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services has announced the inclusion of Hyderabad and Ahmedabad as new freighter destinations in its network, effective from May 11, 2024. The airline disclosed this expansion via a LinkedIn post on May 10. With these additions, Ethiopian Cargo’s freighter network in India expands to six destinations, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Bangalore.
This expansion marks a significant development since the airline’s last network enhancement reported in November last year, when it commenced operations to Gatwick from its hub in Addis Ababa, adding to its UK destinations, Heathrow and Manchester. Additionally, in February last year, Ethiopian Cargo initiated freighter flights connecting Xiamen with São Paulo and Santiago via Addis Ababa, along with flights between Shenzhen and Liège.
Last year, Ethiopian Cargo also committed to achieving IATA’s Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) Live Animals certification, showcasing its dedication to industry standards. Furthermore, the airline placed its capacity on the digital air cargo booking platform cargo.one, enhancing accessibility for customers.
With a vast network spanning 135 international passenger and cargo destinations, including 63 cities in Africa, Ethiopian Cargo continues to strengthen its operations. Alongside its belly capacity, Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services offers 67 dedicated freighter services, supported by a fleet consisting of 10 777Fs, four 737-800Fs, and two 767-300Fs, with an additional aircraft undergoing conversion.
