Vizhinjam International Seaport, situated near Kerala’s capital, is set for its third ship arrival on November 27, as ‘Zhen Hua 24’ brings six yard cranes to the port. This follows the recent inauguration of the deep-sea international port.
The second ship, ‘Zhen Hua 29,’ which arrived earlier with cranes, is scheduled to depart for Mundra Port in Gujarat. The port, constructed under a public-private partnership with the Adani Group, faced delays due to land acquisition issues and protests by fishermen concerned about its impact on their livelihoods. Once commissioned, it will stand as one of the world’s largest ports, contributing to the region’s economic development.
