Sudhir Kumar Gangadhar Rahate has been appointed the Chairperson of Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA).
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, under the Government of India’s Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, announced the appointment of Sudhir Kumar Gangadhar Rahate as the Chairperson of Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA).
In a recent decision, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has greenlit his appointment. Rahate is a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the JH:1990 batch. He previously served as Secretary in the Department of Justice under the Government of India, will assume the position for a term of three years from the date of assuming office.
This appointment highlights the government’s focus on ensuring efficient regulatory oversight in the aviation sector, with Rahate bringing his wealth of experience and expertise to the role.
