Sokudo Electric plans to open 100 flagship stores across India by December 2024.
Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Sokudo Electric India has announced its plan to open 100 new flagship stores across India by the end of 2024. The company aims to reach eco-conscious consumers in key markets such as Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra, enhancing access to affordable electric scooters.
Sokudo Electric will open 20 new flagship stores within the next six months, each spanning a minimum of 1,500 sq. ft., with some exceeding 2,000 sq. ft. These exclusive showrooms will be managed by distributor Anubhuti Electric. The company expects these stores to account for around 60 percent of its sales by the end of 2024, targeting a 5 percent share of India’s USD 681.3 million electric two-wheeler market.
Prashant Vashishtha, CMD of Sokudo Electric India, commented on the expansion: “Our new flagship stores are part of our long-term plan to boost market presence. This strategic move will strengthen our market position and help more consumers access high-quality, affordable electric scooters. We aim to meet the high EV demand in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra, and believe these stores will be a milestone in our EV journey.”
The new flagship stores are located in areas with high demand for electric vehicles and will showcase Sokudo Electric’s advanced scooters and components, including wiring, harnesses, and controllers. Additionally, the stores will offer riding accessories like ISI-certified helmets. This expansion aims to cater to the growing EV demand, providing a premium customer service experience and a range of RTO and non-RTO electric scooters.
Recently, Sokudo Electric established a 20,000 sq. ft. motor and controller plant to enhance R&D activities and develop defect-free scooters. Customers can expect to find these new, affordable electric scooter models both online and in the upcoming flagship stores.
