With retailers competing fiercely to deliver as soon as possible, they are gradually realising that superfast delivery and rapid revenue growth cannot coexist. Interestingly, today’s customers are also shifting toward very specific day delivery over one-day or next-day delivery.
Back in 2019 only, e-commerce giant Amazon gave an option to its prime customers to choose a delivery date. After studying customer trends closely, other retailers and logistics partners are ready to follow suit as well.
With customers realising that speedy delivery costs them more, they too are coming to terms with enjoying a well-scheduled delivery over a one-day thing. Industry experts are hopeful that this feat would not only save them some bucks but would also ensure that they are able to keep their delivery promises intact.
