During the G20 Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that India would host a virtual meeting in November to assess the progress of proposals put forth by G20 member nations. As India’s presidency extends until November, PM Modi emphasised the responsibility to expedite the discussed suggestions and proposals.
He invited leaders to join the virtual session, where progress from the summit’s discussions would be reviewed. Government sources indicated that India would seek dates from all leaders for the meeting and initiate preparations. The upcoming fourth meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors in October, coupled with plans for World Bank restructuring, is expected to drive progress in the finance track, addressing various financial issues.
