Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated road projects, enhancing connectivity and safety in Maharashtra’s Ahmedpur and Dharashiv.
In an effort to improve roads and infrastructure for smooth and safe travel, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, today inaugurated six national highway projects worth Rs. 3,946 crore in Ahmedpur and three national highway projects worth Rs. 122.9 crore in Dharashiv in Ahmedpur, Maharashtra. State Minister Sanjay Bansode G., Member of Parliament Sudhakar Shringare, MP Shri Prataprao Patil Chikhlikar, along with all the MLAs, officials, and other dignitaries, participated in the dedication and Bhoomi Pujan ceremony.
Latur District is renowned throughout the country for soybean production. Well-constructed roads facilitate access to agricultural produce markets. The projects launched today include the 4-laning of the Ausa-Chakur section on National Highway 361 and the 4-laning of the Chakur-Loha section. This will enhance connectivity between Marathwada and Vidarbha, two significant regions of Maharashtra. Additionally, the strengthening work on the Ashta mode to Ashta and Tivatgyal to Malkapur sections of National Highway 63 has been completed. This route will contribute to smoother and safer traffic flow in the area.
The projects, whose foundation stones were laid today, will ensure smoother and safer traffic for the people of the Marathwada and Vidarbha regions. They will save time, fuel, and pollution. Destinations such as Mahur Shaktipeeth, Nanded Gurdwara, and Tuljabhavani Temple of Tuljapur will be more accessible.
