Finance Minister Sitharaman and Minister Vaishnaw launched NITI Aayog’s AI roadmap and frontier tech repository.

NITI Aayog has launched two initiatives under its Frontier Tech Hub to accelerate India’s transformation into Viksit Bharat by 2047. The “AI for Viksit Bharat Roadmap” and the “NITI Frontier Tech Repository” were unveiled by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Railways and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, alongside senior officials.
Sitharaman said AI technologies must be adopted across all districts to drive inclusive growth and described the Frontier Tech Hub as an ecosystem uniting government, industry, and innovators. Vaishnaw stressed that AI will redefine work and living, instilling confidence in India’s youth to achieve national development goals.
The roadmap outlines strategies for scaling AI adoption across industries and advancing R&D with generative AI. Complementing this, the Tech Repository highlights over 200 impact stories in agriculture, healthcare, education, and national security.
NITI Aayog CEO B.V.R. Subrahmanyam said the initiatives aim to boost productivity and innovation, announcing support for 50 aspirational districts and state-level impact awards to scale frontier technologies.
