MOVIN has launched as a joint venture between UPS and InterGlobe Enterprises adding the second fleet of Electric Vehicles (EV) for its first and last-mile deliveries in Bengaluru. The first fleet was rolled out in Delhi NCR earlier this year. The company will deploy EVs in Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune by the end of 2023 as part of its plan to reduce carbon emissions and to align with its long-term sustainability goals.
MOVIN’s focus on sustainable logistics solutions is the reason behind its growing adoption of EVs in its operations. The decision to implement electric vehicles (EVs) for its first and last mile deliveries is a positive and environmentally responsible choice. This transition will help decrease carbon emissions, lessen the ecological impact. Moreover, it will lead to cost savings in the long run through reduced fuel and maintenance expenditures hence MOVIN plans to grow its fleet size in its key markets in the coming months.
With the deployment of EVs, MOVIN aims to reduce 200 tons of CO2 emissions within the next 12 months. Each EV is capable of towing up to 850 kg, and it can effortlessly go 120 kilometers on a single charge.
