India’s largest airline, IndiGo, appointed Mark Sutch as Chief Commercial Officer for the international cargo business. Mahesh Kumar Malik will remain the Chief Commercial Officer for domestic cargo operations. Both the CCOs will work in tandem for the airline’s cargo business, CarGo, from March 1st, 2023.
Sutch, a British and Irish national, served as the Chief Commercial Officer of CMA CGM Air Cargo in Marseille and as Regional General Manager for South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa of Cathay Pacific Airways for five years in Mumbai.
IndiGo welcomed two A321 freighters in November and December last year. Sutch plans to utilise the new fleet and extended belly capacity to build new cargo products and solutions to match global standards.
