Mahindra Logistics (MLL) initiates construction on a 6.5 lakh sq. ft. warehousing facility near Pune. The expansive project, spanning 25 acres in Phaltan, strategically caters to automotive and manufacturing sectors.
The first phase, covering 3.5 lakh sq. ft., is slated for operation by end-2024, serving as a national logistics hub for a manufacturing partner. Committed to sustainability, MLL ensures adherence to green warehousing standards, emphasising decarbonisation and renewable energy. The facility integrates with MLL’s national network, bolstering inbound logistics for auto OEM & components. The Rs. 170 crore investment includes resources for skill development, creating jobs for over 500 locals.
Rampraveen Swaminathan, CEO of MLL, underscores the expansion’s alignment with carbon neutrality goals by 2040, emphasising technology-driven solutions. The Phaltan facility exemplifies MLL’s dedication to delivering world-class logistics and fostering regional economic development.
