LSC India, a startup specialising in multimodal transportation based in Guwahati, Assam, has introduced pay-by-day warehouses, a first-of-its-kind service in the region. Rupayan Dutta, Managing Partner of LSC India, announced the inauguration of this innovative facility in Guwahati. With rents starting as low as Rs 10 per square foot, the warehouse spans 30,000 square feet, and already two clients have booked around 8,000 square feet of space.
Pay-by-day warehouses offer a flexible storage solution, allowing customers to rent space on a daily basis instead of committing to long-term contracts. This model caters to individuals or businesses with temporary storage needs, seasonal inventory management, or fluctuating storage requirements. By paying only for the days the space is used, customers can optimise storage costs and adjust their capacity based on demand. This approach provides a convenient, cost-effective, and adaptable option for various storage needs.
LSC India plans to expand this unique offering to other locations, including Siliguri and Dankuni in West Bengal. Additionally, they are exploring a roll-on-roll-off (RORO) project as part of their future plans. The introduction of pay-by-day warehouses showcases LSC India’s commitment to providing flexible and efficient storage solutions for businesses and individuals.
