Aviation and infrastructure leaders gather in Mumbai to reimagine India’s airport future ahead of IPTS 2025.

Ahead of the Inter Passenger Terminal Show (IPTS) 2025, government and industry leaders convened in Mumbai to shape the future of India’s airport infrastructure under the theme “Reimagining Airport Passenger Infrastructure through Innovation, Technology, and Sustainability.”
Hosted by Media Fusion LLC, the roundtable brought together top voices, including officials from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, dormakaba, JLL India, Navi Mumbai International Airport, and the Indian Revenue Service. Discussions focused on building a smart, sustainable, and future-ready aviation ecosystem aligned with the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
Key priorities included bridging infrastructure gaps, enhancing regional connectivity under UDAN, strengthening cybersecurity, and scaling India’s aviation workforce. Participants also emphasised innovations such as biometric-based Digi Yatra, AI-driven terminals, and LEED-certified green airports.
With India targeting 350 airports by 2047 and aiming for a $4B share of the global MRO market by 2031, stakeholders stressed early collaboration, inclusive policy reform, and private sector investment as crucial drivers.
Insights from the session will shape national dialogue at IPTS 2025, scheduled for June 11–12 in Mumbai.
