Revolutionising diesel efficiency, Intangles Lab introduces an advanced AI-powered Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) technology, combating soot accumulation in engines for enhanced performance.
Intangles Lab has revealed its groundbreaking Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) solution, designed to reshape the commercial vehicle landscape. Developed by the Technology & Innovation Group, this AI-driven feature offers unprecedented insights into DPF regeneration, addressing the pressing issue of soot buildup in diesel engines.
Diesel engines face challenges with soot accumulation, causing DPF clogs and escalating maintenance costs. Intangles’ DPF solution employs advanced AI algorithms for real-time monitoring, providing predictive alerts on the need for regeneration and preventing adverse effects of exhaust back pressure.
Dr. Abhijit Patil, President of Technology & Innovation at Intangles, emphasises, “Our solution not only tackles immediate DPF challenges but elevates overall regeneration efficacy.” With a remarkable 95 percent accuracy rate, the system classifies and assesses regeneration cycles, ensuring optimal vehicle performance while meeting stringent emission standards.
The DPF feature goes beyond, recommending the ideal regeneration mode based on varying conditions, enabling fleet operators to plan for parked regeneration and minimising the risk of DPF-related issues. Bhushan Patil, Chief AI Scientist at Intangles, highlights the solution’s role in reducing the carbon footprint and improving fuel efficiency by 3.5 percent to 5 percent.
Gaining traction in Indian and North American markets, Intangles’ DPF solution demonstrates versatility across a range of diesel-powered vehicles. This development marks a crucial advancement in AI-based digital twin applications for diesel engines, aligning with global efforts for sustainable transportation. Alongside predictive maintenance solutions, Intangles sets a new standard for addressing industry challenges.
