IATA’s present Chair-elect, Yvonne Manzi Makolo, the CEO of Rwandair, will be followed by Peter Elbers, the CEO of IndiGO as the Chair-elect of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Board of Governors effective from June 2024.
While the Indian aviation industry is facing unprecedented growth and development, the new Chair-elect is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the current aviation scenario positively, keeping in mind, industry’s needs & interests, driving innovation and sustainable initiatives. Knowing deep industry insights & experience, Peter has not only advanced IndiGo’s international market, but also assisted in better progress of the aviation industry.
