GMR Group has appointed Sanjiv Edward as Chief Executive Officer for its Cargo and Logistics business. His tenure begins in April 2023, and he will be responsible for managing GMR’s cargo operations in New Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, and all upcoming airports.
Besides, he will also drive strategic projects for Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), where he last served as Chief Commercial Officer leading aeronautical and aero-related businesses of Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, New Delhi. He worked on developing and sustaining a steady revenue stream by growing Cargo, Concessions and Aeronautical services, and Land and Space. He also led marketing and route building activities for airlines to expand IGI Airport’s air connectivity network. Further, he actively engaged with the government, regulatory bodies, and the industry for policy formulation. He was also the Chairman of The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) between May 2015 and October 2017.
He comes with two decades of experience in the aviation industry. He is on the board of CELEBI, Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI), Delhi Aviation Fuel Facility, and DASPL.
