India’s leading e-commerce platform, Flipkart, has teamed up with the Government of Gujarat on National Handloom Day through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed under the Flipkart Samarth program. This initiative aims to digitally transform local businesses, concentrating on craft development in each district, and revive traditional crafts in the state.
Through the MoU, Flipkart Samarth and the Cottage & Rural Industries department will support MSMEs, artisans, weavers, and craftsmen by offering market insights and access to the Flipkart marketplace. The exchange took place in the presence of notable dignitaries, showcasing the commitment to uplift local talents, enrich cultural heritage, and drive economic growth.
