The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has granted approval for the establishment of the first Flying Training Organisation (FTO) in Tamil Nadu. The FTO, named EKVI Air Training Organisation, is located in Salem, as confirmed by an official. This newly approved FTO will offer aspiring pilots in Tamil Nadu training opportunities in accordance with the standards set by the DGCA. Prior to this approval, Tamil Nadu did not have a dedicated FTO, making this development a significant milestone for aviation training in the state.
With the addition of the new FTO, the total number of FTOs in the country has now reached 36. This move will contribute to the growth and development of aviation education and training in Tamil Nadu, providing a platform for aspiring pilots to pursue their dreams.
