Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) has entered a strategic collaboration with Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) to foster innovation and efficiency in the logistics sector. Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the partnership aims to capitalise on the strengths of both entities to optimise supply chain management, elevate customer service standards, and stimulate industry growth.
The collaboration entails the sharing of infrastructure, technology, expertise, and resources between CONCOR and CWC. Their joint efforts will focus on providing seamless and cost-effective end-to-end logistics services, including First Mile Last Mile solutions, to stakeholders. The overarching objective is to reduce the nation’s logistics costs while ensuring efficient service delivery.
CONCOR, with its network of 59 terminals and strategic tie-ups, specialises in inland transportation of containers from ports using rail wagons. Additionally, the company manages cold storage chains and warehouses, further enhancing its logistics capabilities.
In Q3 FY24, the consolidated net profit of logistics solution providers surged by 12.42 percent to INR 330.74 crore, accompanied by a 10.28 percent increase in revenue from operations to INR 2,210.57 crore compared to Q3 FY23.
Despite these positive developments, the scrip of CONCOR witnessed a 1.24 percent decline, currently trading at INR 856.25 on the BSE.
