Nagpur’s Multi Modal Logistics Park kicks off operations, boosting connectivity and freight efficiency under PM Gati Shakti.

Commercial operations have officially begun at the Multi Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) in Nagpur, developed under the PM Gati Shakti initiative. Located at Sindi near Wardha, the facility received its first rake of 123 Maruti cars from Farukhnagar on April 28, marking a significant milestone in India’s logistics infrastructure journey.
Developed by National Highway Logistics Management Limited (NHLML), a 100% subsidiary of NHAI, MMLP Nagpur is being constructed across 150 acres in three phases under the Public-Private Partnership model. Phase-I alone entails an investment of ₹137 crore out of the total project cost of ₹673 crore, with a 45-year concession period.
A Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), Maharashtra MMLP Pvt. Ltd., formed between NHLML and JNPA, will oversee land, connectivity, and utility provisions. Once completed, the MMLP will feature warehousing, cold storage, intermodal terminals, bonded warehouses, and support logistics infrastructure.
This facility is poised to reduce freight costs, enhance cargo traceability, and improve intermodal transport efficiency—while creating local employment and driving regional economic growth.
