Logistics player BookMyCargo ventures into the B2C segment, aiming for ₹100 crore topline by FY30.
BookMyCargo (BMC), established in 2016 and primarily operating in the B2B space, has announced its entry into the domestic business-to-consumer (B2C) segment. The company targets a ₹100 crore topline by FY30, as confirmed by a company official. Serving sectors like FMCG, consumer goods, and pharma, BMC aims to capitalise on the growing demand for same-day deliveries, which is expected to rise from less than 1 percent in 2016 to 22 percent by 2025.
Founder J D Yadav highlighted that the move into the B2C segment is part of a strategic plan to enhance market presence. BMC has also expanded its B2C services to Thailand, covering 75 provinces in the Southeast Asian country. As of March 2024, BMC’s turnover stood at ₹12.3 crore, with aspirations to nearly double this figure in the current fiscal year and achieve ₹100 crore in the next five years.
Commenting on the Union Budget, Yadav noted that the ₹11.11 lakh crore capex announced for infrastructure would spur investments in development projects, creating numerous employment opportunities. He emphasised that the government’s plans to establish more e-commerce export hubs and integrated industrial parks will boost manufacturing output, domestic consumption, and trade and logistics activity across the country.
This strategic expansion into the B2C segment and international markets marks a significant step for BookMyCargo, positioning the company for substantial growth and increased market share in the coming years.
