Blue Dart unveils a 2.5 lakh sq ft eco-friendly facility in Bijwasan, boosting sustainable logistics.
Blue Dart has inaugurated India’s largest low-emission logistics hub in Bijwasan, Delhi, spanning 2.5 lakh square feet. Strategically located 20 minutes from Indira Gandhi International Airport, the facility integrates solar power installations and supports multimodal connectivity via IGI Airport, Indian Railways, metro corridors, and national highways.
Aligned with the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan, the hub enhances freight movement and sustainability. Tobias Meyer, CEO of DHL Group, emphasised its role in supporting customers’ decarbonisation efforts and advancing low-carbon logistics solutions. Pablo Ciano, CEO of DHL eCommerce, highlighted its importance in providing innovative infrastructure to drive customer growth.
Blue Dart Managing Director Balfour Manuel described the facility as a commitment to sustainability and scalability, equipped to handle over 5.5 lakh shipments daily with advanced automation. With a 600-kW solar installation, the hub underscores Blue Dart’s vision of efficient, eco-friendly logistics and reinforces its position as a leader in sustainable operations.
