Blue Dart celebrates World Environment Day by expanding its electric vehicle fleet to over 480 units.
Blue Dart has announced a significant expansion of its electric vehicle (EV) fleet, now including more than 480 e-vehicles. This move underscores the company’s commitment to sustainability and its goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions.
With this expansion, Blue Dart anticipates reducing its carbon footprint by approximately 15.05 tonnes of CO2 each month. This effort is part of the company’s broader environmental strategy, which includes being a signatory to the United Nations’ ‘Climate Neutral Now’ pledge. Additionally, Blue Dart’s Sustainability Roadmap includes planting over 111,000 trees annually, projected to offset more than 13,320 tonnes of CO2 emissions once the trees mature.
