The British International Freight Association (BIFA) has appointed Mike Jones as their policy advisor, focusing on environmental and sustainability matters. With a career spanning over four decades in freight forwarding, Jones is equipped with extensive experience in logistics management, warehousing, and distribution. Having joined BIFA in 2015 as a policy and compliance advisor, he later became their regional representative for London West & the South West.
Jones’ expertise will help BIFA members, including smaller businesses, address the challenges of adopting sustainability technologies and strategies. He will lead initiatives and collaborate with members to establish a Sustainability Policy Group. Jones’ valuable contributions aim to enhance engagement and deliver meaningful support to the UK and international freight services industry, making strides towards a greener future.
