Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath confirms the first phase of Ayodhya International Airport will conclude by December 15, a month prior to the Ram Temple inauguration.
The announcement follows Yogi’s inspection, alongside Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Union Minister General V K Singh, reviewing construction progress. Yogi emphasises the city’s transformation aligns with PM Modi’s vision.
The expanded airport, covering 65,000 square feet in the initial phase, will handle two to three flights per hour. Scindia outlines plans for a 2,200-meter runway, enabling the landing of Boeing 737 and Airbus 319/320 aircraft. Approval for the second phase, extending the runway to 3,700 meters, is anticipated, turning Ayodhya into an international aviation hub.
Scindia commemorates the historical significance and his grandmother’s connection to Ayodhya. CM Yogi performs rituals at Hanumangarhi temple and Ram Temple, receiving updates from the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust on temple construction progress.
