Amazon Air is making adjustments to its flight operations in Europe after a period of rapid expansion. The company, which launched its European flights in 2020 with ASL Airlines and Boeing 737-800 freighters, has confirmed a reduction in flight numbers.
However, Amazon assures customers that this change will not impact delivery times. The e-commerce giant has been strategically expanding its fulfillment network in Europe, allowing for inventory placement closer to customers and minimising the need for air transportation. Although the frequency of flights with ASL Airlines appears to have decreased, the airline is still operating flights on behalf of Amazon. The scaling down of European flights follows similar adjustments made by Amazon in North America. The decision to refine the flight network is driven by economic constraints and evolving market dynamics, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery services for customers.
