Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI) hosted a Curtain Raiser on April 25 at New Udaan Bhawan ahead of its Annual Conclave 2023, scheduled on May 3. Among those present were the top brass of ACFI, including Yashpal Sharma, President; K. S. Kunwar, Director General; Satish Lakkaraju, Senior Vice President, Global Head – Air Freight and Pharma, Wiz Freight; Keku Bomi Gazder, Managing Director and CEO, Aviapro Logistics Services; and Abdulla Ali Al Khalafi, Cargo Manager, Emirates SkyCargo.
The event informed the media about the agenda for the Annual Conclave 2023. The event began with Sakshi Gupta, Country Manager, Air Logistics Group, welcoming the attendees. Lakkaraju briefly introduced ACFI and spoke about its growth over the years. Sharma highlighted the work ACFI has done over the years to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and domestic and international associations of the industry. Kunwar talked about the roles of ACFI Taskforce Pillars, its regional chapters, collaborations, and other trade bodies TIACA, IATA, the Ministry of Civil Aviation, and PHDCCI.
The moderators for the three panels scheduled for the May 3 Conclave revealed their agendas. Lakkaraju will moderate the first panel on ‘Air Cargo – The Business Galvaniser’. Sanjiv Edward, Vice President, ACFI, and CEO, Cargo and Logistics, GMR Group, will moderate the second session on ‘International Air Cargo – Opportunities and Challenges’. Finally, Gazder will be the moderator for the third session on ‘Domestic Air Cargo – Leveraging the Potential of Indian Domestic Cargo’.
Munish Davessar closed the event with a vote of thanks and how he anticipates the upcoming Conclave to bring forward-looking changes in the Indian Air Cargo industry.
