Adani Logistics (ALL) in Borkhedi is now a Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal (GCT), boosting Nagpur’s logistics sector.
In a significant development, Central Railways Nagpur division inked an agreement with Adani Logistics (ALL) to convert its facility in Borkhedi into a Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal (GCT). This move aims to elevate Nagpur as a pivotal logistics hub in India.
With this transformation, Borkhedi joins three other GCTs in the division, including MP Birla Cement in Mukutban, MMLP in Sindi, and JSW Steel in Kalmeshwar. Indian Railways, through such initiatives, aims to establish world-class logistics aggregation and disaggregation points across the nation.
Aman Mittal, Senior Divisional Manager, expressed optimism, stating that the MoU would drive significant growth for Nagpur, enhancing the logistics sector and contributing to the nation’s economy. The terminal operations will be overseen by the railways, promising increased efficiency and revenue generation.
