ACAAI’s 49th convention opens in Bali with global dignitaries, cultural performances, and industry insights.

The 49th Annual Convention of the Air Cargo Agents Association of India (ACAAI) opened in spectacular style on November 6, 2025, at the picturesque Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa, Indonesia, drawing prominent leaders, industry stakeholders, and international delegates. The scenic charm of Bali added to the excitement, captivating participants right from the start.
The inaugural session commenced at 1830 hrs (local time) with a warm welcome address by convention chairman, Anil Vazirani, followed by a presidential address from Samir Shah, president of ACAAI. The ceremony featured the lighting of the lamp and the national anthems of India and Indonesia, symbolising unity, culture, and bilateral goodwill.









Serving as Chief Guest, Lawlesh Kumar, Vice Consul General of India to Indonesia, highlighted India–Indonesia’s long-standing historical ties, shared Hindu cultural heritage, and growing trade relations. He emphasised the significance of collaboration between the two economies.
The Guest of Honour, Yukki Nugrahawan, Senior Vice President of FIATA (Indonesia), enriched the session with his global logistics perspective. A powerful keynote address was delivered by Girish Vanvari of Transaction Square LLP, Mumbai, along with Utpal Almoula, Partner at KPMG, offering valuable insights to the audience.
The evening concluded with thunderous applause as delegates engaged enthusiastically with the speakers. Traditional Balinese dancers stunned the audience with a captivating cultural performance, even encouraging many participants to join them on stage.
The inaugural day wrapped up with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Chaitaly Mehta, honorary secretary general of ACAAI, marking a vibrant and memorable start to the multi-day convention.
The stage is now set for knowledge exchange, networking, and discussions shaping the future of the air cargo and logistics sector.
