Rail operations have been severely impacted as the South East Central Railway undertakes third line electrification and non-interlocking work at Badhwabara railway station in the Shahdol-Rupond section of the Katni route. As a result, 22 trains have been cancelled from August 31 to September 8. Additionally, several trains are being diverted through alternative routes to manage the disruption.
The initial restoration of seven trains after non-interlocking work had provided relief to passengers due to Rakshabandhan festivities. However, this was short-lived, as the Railways swiftly announced the cancellation of trains on the Katni route.
The ongoing work includes the electrification of the third rail line and non-interlocking activities, which are scheduled at Badhwabara railway station until September 8.
