The 24-day passenger service drive at Indian airports ends on 10 October, with closing programmes set to review feedback and outcomes.

The 24-day Yatri Seva Abhiyan at Indian airports ends on 10 October, with three days to go. Run by the Airports Authority of India for the Civil Aviation Ministry, it began on 17 September and was launched by Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu at Pune Airport on 18 September. The drive comes as DGCA data shows 12.126 million domestic passengers in August, down 6.34 per cent on a year earlier, with January to August at 110.53 million, down 0.18 per cent.
Airports have worked through their own lists. Patna set up a passenger assistance desk, a “One Question, One Change” feedback campaign and a wellness area in arrivals. Tiruchy has reviewed seating, charging points, accessibility and baggage belts, with airport director G Gopalakrishnan saying the focus is “practical enhancements at passenger touch points”. Jammu added a bus link to its railway station and general bus stand.
The closing programmes will test how much of it lasts. Port Blair and Tiruchy have planned 10 October programmes to recognise staff and present outcomes, with Tiruchy also reviewing passenger feedback and Port Blair drawing up plans to sustain the gains.
