Former A.P. Chambers president G. Sambasiva Rao to drive air cargo growth and infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh.

G. Sambasiva Rao, former president of the A.P. Chambers, has been elected as the Chairman of the Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI), Andhra Pradesh Chapter, headquartered in Visakhapatnam. The ACFI’s registered office is located at the Terminal-2 Arrival block of IGI Airport, New Delhi.
Announcing the election, A.P. Chambers president Potluri Bhaskara Rao said the move will strengthen collaboration between ACFI and A.P. Chambers to enhance international air cargo facilities in the state. Andhra Pradesh, with four international airports; Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, and Tirupati, holds significant potential for air cargo operations.
Currently, perishable foods and pharmaceuticals are routed through Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai due to limited infrastructure. Under Rao’s leadership, ACFI will work with state and central governments, the Airports Authority of India, carriers, and other stakeholders to develop cargo facilities, boost exports, and expand economic and employment opportunities for MSMEs, women, and youth in Andhra Pradesh.
