Union Minister Piyush Goyal will co-chair the 13th HLJTFI in UAE, reviewing CEPA and exploring new trade and investment avenues.

Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal will visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 18–19, 2025 to co-chair the 13th India-UAE High Level Task Force on Investments (HLJTFI) with His Highness Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
The meeting will review the implementation of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), the Double Taxation Treaty, and discussions between the central banks of both nations. It will also explore new investment opportunities in sectors such as maritime and space.
During the visit, Shri Goyal will also co-chair the UAE-India Business Council (UIBC) roundtable with His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade. He will meet senior UAE leaders, including H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.E. Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, and Mr. Syed Basar Shueb, along with top CEOs from both countries.
Since its establishment in 2013, the HLJTFI has served as a key platform for strengthening economic ties. The India-UAE CEPA, in force since May 2022, has nearly doubled bilateral trade, reflecting the depth of this strategic partnership.
