Swiss WorldCargo joins joint venture with Lufthansa and United Cargo to boost transatlantic connectivity and services.

Effective August 1, 2025, Swiss WorldCargo will formally become part of the joint business agreement between Lufthansa Cargo and United Cargo, strengthening transatlantic cooperation among the three premium carriers. The partnership aims to offer customers enhanced flexibility, more direct routes, and seamless cargo solutions between Europe and the United States.
The joint venture, already operational between Lufthansa and United, has enabled cooperation in sales, network planning, and customer services. With Swiss WorldCargo’s entry, the alliance will initially operate cargo services across over 200 destinations in both regions, offering a broader and more integrated logistics network.
This collaboration will see aligned schedules, harmonised handling processes, and streamlined booking systems, ensuring efficient and reliable services for cargo customers. Executives from all three companies emphasised the benefits of increased capacity, improved access, and greater consistency across markets.
The agreement will be executed in full compliance with EU and U.S. competition laws, focusing on operational excellence and sustainable growth in an evolving global cargo landscape. The move represents a strategic leap toward a unified and customer-centric transatlantic cargo network.
