DP World’s ICTT Cochin achieved a record throughput in June 2025, registering a 35% rise over May with over 81,000 TEUs handled.

DP World-operated International Container Transshipment Terminal (ICTT) in Cochin recorded a throughput of over 81,000 TEUs in June 2025, marking a 35 percent surge compared to the previous month. According to an official statement, the terminal efficiently handled 54 vessels during the month, including multiple mother ships, reinforcing its growing capacity and operational efficiency.
Strategically linked to mainline services connecting South East Asia, the Middle East, and the Far East, the Cochin terminal plays a pivotal role in India’s maritime trade. ICTT’s recent infrastructure upgrades include boosting its power capacity from 3 MVA to 5 MVA, ensuring seamless operations even during peak demand.
Sustainability efforts have also been enhanced with the complete electrification of yard equipment, leading to reduced carbon emissions and offering eco-conscious logistics solutions. The terminal’s advantageous coastal connectivity spans from Gujarat to Kolkata, making it a key node in domestic cargo movement.
Furthermore, Kerala’s first Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ), developed by DP World and co-located at the port, continues to support export-import trade across sectors.
