BCBA’s 39th AGM brought members, industry leaders, and officials together to celebrate achievements and welcome new office bearers.
The Brihanmumbai Custom Brokers Association (BCBA) held its 39th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Annual Function on September 25, 2024, at ITC Grand Central, Parel, Mumbai. The prestigious event gathered esteemed members, industry leaders, and government officials to reflect on the year’s achievements and welcome new leadership for the 2024-2026 term.
During the AGM, BCBA President Dushyant Mulani delivered a powerful address, reflecting on his remarkable 25 years of service to the association. Mulani, who was transitioning to the role of immediate past president, received a standing ovation for his leadership and contributions, marking an emotional moment for the gathering.
The AGM also reviewed the association’s significant growth and initiatives over the past year, setting the stage for the introduction of the newly elected office bearers for the 2024-2026 term. Leading the new team is Incoming President Sanjeev Harale, along with Senior Vice President/President Elect Paresh Thakkar, Vice Presidents Vinayak Aparaj, Hiren Ruparel, and Ganpat Korde, as well as Hon. Secretary Nirav Thakker and Hon. Treasurer Ketan Desai.
In his inaugural speech, President Sanjeev Harale laid out his vision for BCBA’s future, emphasising strategic objectives such as enhanced member engagement, skill development, and advancing the role of custom brokers in the evolving logistics industry. His message resonated with attendees as he discussed the association’s future goals and aspirations.
The event was further elevated by a keynote address from Chief Guest Rajesh Pandey (IRS), Principal Chief Commissioner of Custo, Mumbai Zone II, JNCH. Pandey delivered an impactful speech on the evolving logistics landscape and underscored the vital role that custom brokers play in facilitating trade and ensuring smooth custo operations. The evening also saw the presence of commissioners from all three Mumbai Custo Zones, alongside representatives from various government and trade bodies, who were warmly welcomed and felicitated by the BCBA Managing Committee.
The AGM concluded with a vote of thanks by Hon. Secretary Nirav Thakker, who expressed gratitude to all attendees, including BCBA members, industry leaders, and special guests, for their participation and support.
It was an evening filled with emotions, camaraderie, and celebration as BCBA looked back on its achievements and prepared for a promising future under new leadership.
