ECU Worldwide and ShipBob collaborate to streamline global logistics for Indian e-commerce merchants.
ECU Worldwide, a wholly-owned global subsidiary of Allcargo Logistics and a leader in less-than-container load (LCL) consolidation, has announced a partnership with ShipBob, a prominent global supply chain and fulfillment platform. This strategic alliance aims to bolster the global reach of Indian e-commerce players by integrating ECU Worldwide’s ocean and air freight services with ShipBob’s receiving hubs and fulfillment centers across the United States, Europe, Canada, and Australia.
Under this agreement, ECU Worldwide will facilitate a seamless inbound flow of inventory to ShipBob’s facilities, allowing for comprehensive end-to-end distribution. This collaboration includes supporting ShipBob’s clients in exporting segments of their primary inventory from the US to other international facilities, enhancing efficiency and delivery capabilities.
ECU Worldwide will be a crucial component of FreightBob, ShipBob’s managed freight and inventory distribution program. Leveraging its extensive network spanning over 180 countries, more than 2,400 direct trade lanes, and door-to-door delivery services, ECU Worldwide will provide ShipBob with the speed and agility needed to manage e-commerce inventory across more than 50 markets.
Commenting on the partnership, Niels Bach Nielsen, Regional Head for the USA and Canada at ECU Worldwide, stated, “We are thrilled to partner with ShipBob, a global e-commerce enabler. Our tech-driven booking platform, ECU360, has revolutionised global supply chain efficiency with its innovative features and extensive network.”
Melissa Nick, Supply Chain Officer at ShipBob, added, “We are excited to join hands with ECU Worldwide to enhance our freight offerings for our merchants. ECU Worldwide’s leadership in the global logistics domain will significantly boost our freight transportation capabilities, opening new opportunities for our services.”
