Jindal Stainless (JSL) announced a strategic collaboration with IIT Kharagpur to embark on metallurgical projects, focusing on primary alloy production and materials characterisation. This partnership underscores a synergy between industry and academia, with IIT Kharagpur slated to offer technical and operational expertise.
The collaborative efforts will address various facets of metallurgy, including process optimisation and materials characterisation, leveraging research insights to deliver tangible solutions. Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director of JSL, emphasised their commitment to advancing stainless steel technology, contributing significantly to India’s self-reliance goals.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), IIT Kharagpur will extend technical consultancy and engage in academic and industrial research, aiming to enhance productivity and drive process improvements. This initiative signifies a concerted effort towards fostering innovation and bolstering the nation’s industrial landscape.
