Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated five significant developmental projects in Jagiroad, Morigaon district, with a total value of Rs. 114.17 crore.
The projects include a railway over the bridge, a Public Works Department Inspection Bungalow, a sports association auditorium, a Multi-Utility Building by Jagiroad Development Authority, and a cycle track around Taranga Beel. Sarma also flagged off ambulances for the road safety mission and unveiled a digital LED board of Janasanyog Assam.
Acknowledging the government’s allocation of Rs. 810 crores for Hindustan Paper Corporation issues, Sarma announced further investments, including Rs. 50 crores for a modern drainage system, a new fire service center, and Rs. 66 crores for road development under the Asom Mala scheme.
He expressed confidence in opening the Morigaon Medical College and Hospital within two years, emphasising the state’s developmental activities and job creation efforts. Sarma thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for focusing on Assam’s development.
