Dronamics and Qatar Airways Cargo have made aviation history by signing the industry’s inaugural interline agreement between a cargo drone airline and an international carrier.
This collaboration allows both entities to extend their delivery networks, providing access to regions traditionally challenging for conventional airfreight. Dronamics, licensed for European operations, can now link its droneports, starting in Greece, to Qatar Airways Cargo’s extensive network covering destinations like Singapore, China (including Hong Kong), and the US (JFK).
The reciprocal arrangement enables Qatar Airways Cargo to reach remote areas served by Dronamics, such as the Greek islands. This groundbreaking partnership promises a streamlined process for customers to transport goods seamlessly between Dronamics’ droneports and Qatar Airways Cargo’s vast network, marking a significant milestone in global air cargo accessibility.
Dronamics anticipates commencing commercial operations in Greece early next year, emphasising same-day services for enhanced connectivity.
